武春河，男，1944年生，968年毕业于内蒙古大学中文系，后从事新闻工作，先后在辽宁日报社任总编辑、人民日报社副总编辑、经济日报社总编辑、社长等职。幼时起开始习字，其书法风格取正大雄强一路，作品多次入选国内外重大展览，在中国书坛颇具影响。现任北京当代中国书画研究会会长、中国书法家协会理事、国际书法家协会副主席。出版有《武春河书法选》（荣宝斋出版社2002年出版）、《嘤鸣集》（香港恒嘉出版社2004年出版）、《武春河书法艺术》等（华夏出版社2005年出版）。

Introduction to Mr. Wu Chunhe—a renown contemporary calligrapher in China

　　Born in 1944, Wu Chunhe held uch posts as chief editor of Liaoning Daily, deputy chief editor at People’s Daily, as well as chief editor and president of Economic Daily respectively, after his graduation from Chinese Literature Department of Inner Mongolia University. Starting to learn calligraphic skills from his childhood, Mr. Wu had his masterpieces, which are highly esteemed for their dignity and impressiveness, displayed on many major exhibitions both at home and abroad, and cast great influence on Chinese calligraphic circle. Currently, he assumes the positions including Chairman of Beijing Seminar on Contemporary Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, director of Chinese Calligraphers Association, and the co-chairman of International Calligraphers Association. Also, Mr. Wu has published many books, such as A Selection of Wu Chunhe’s Calligraphy (published by Rongbaozhai Press in 2002), A Collection of Chirps (published by Hong Kong Hengjia Press in 2004), and Calligraphic Arts of Wu Chunhe (published by Huaxia Publishing House in 2005), to name but a few.
