中国书法和绘画艺术历史悠久、源远流长，是中华文明和世界文明的重要组成部分。中国当代书法和绘画艺术创造性地传承了五千年中华文化的精华，为世界文明的发展作出了重要贡献。

　　本届韩国首尔国际书展，我们特邀中国当代著名书画家武春河、萧晖荣先生，现场展示部分代表作品，与中国优秀出版物互映光辉，携手打造中华文化艺术风景线。

Exhibition of works by China’s Famous Painters and Calligraphers Preface

　　The painting and calligraphic arts of China boast a long history and constitutes an important part of Chinese as well as the world’s civilization. Innovatively inheriting from Chinese culture, China’s contemporary paintings and calligraphic works have contributed a lot to the development of global civilization.

　　For this International Book Fair in Seoul, Korea, we have invited famous contemporary painter and calligrapher Mr. Wu Chunhe and Mr. Xiao Huirong from China, whose works will be on display in the Book Fair. Along with other excellent publications from China, these masterpieces have presented great scenery of Chinese culture and art.

　　We hope all painting-and-calligraphy lovers can understand the meaning that artists have endowed on their works, and appreciate the extensiveness and profoundness of Chinese culture.
