Profile of Painter Cao Deren

Chao De Ren, from QingFeng County in Henan Province, was born in Dalian in 1948. He was labeled as an outstanding painter of popular science by China’s Society of Popular Science Creations in 1990. He won “Golden Apple Award”, the highest art award of the Dalian Municipal Government, in 1992. Invited by the Cultural Ministry and the Chinese Fine Art Society, he served as a member on the Evaluation Committee for the successive Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth National Art Exhibitions. His name is included in all kinds of Celebrities Albums and major dictionaries. His works were selected in the Modern Section of A Complete Book of Chinese Art in 1996 and published in 1997. Now he is a professional painter (senior fine artist) in the Calligraphy and Art Academy in Dalian, chairman of the Dalian Artists Association, member of the Chinese Artists Association, chairman of the Young Artists Association in Dalian, member of the Political Consultative Committee in Dalian, and director of the Overseas Friendship Association in Dalian.
