Profile of Artist Shao Wei Shao Wei (Pen-named A Xing) He was from Cixizhuang in Zhejiang Province, born in Shanghai in August in 1949. He was admitted in Art Design Dept. in the Shanghai Light Industry Advanced Specialized School. The famous Chinese Painter Huang Huan Wu and the famous water-color painter Zhang Ying Hong were the deans of that department. Graduated in 1970. He has worked in Dalian Daily Agency from 1978 till now, serving as art editor and the director of the design section. He is a member of Liaoning Artist Association, the Liaoning Etching Artist Association, and a director of the Dalian Artist Association, and a member of the National Book Collection Coupon Art Committee. His brief biography is included in such reference books as Catalogue of Names of Chinese Contemporary Artists, Chinese Fine Artists, and Glossary of Famous Artists and their Masterpieces in Chinese Art.
